Time Series
Track activity patterns over time using ridgeline plots.
Overview
The Time Series visualization shows activity levels across different categories (typically departments) over time, displayed as overlapping area charts.
Requirements
- A valid date/time column
- A department/category column
Aggregation Periods
Choose how to group your data:
- Hourly: Activity by hour of day (cumulative across all days)
- Weekday: Activity by day of week (Mon–Sun)
- Daily: Activity by calendar day
- Weekly: Activity by week
- Monthly: Activity by month
Time Range
The chart's date range is driven by the sidebar time range slider. Adjusting the slider updates the Time Series chart in real time, filtering data and adjusting the X axis to match the selected range.
